CHARACTER CREATION
pagedivider_1_orig.png

Those entering the group through an opening, please check our discord #character-creation-template channel to see the available slots.

You will be someone who was once
infected by the plague that inhabits Avsland and can come as any age. If you enter younger than six moons you will likely be adopted and gain your element and primal attributes at six moons. By the grace of the Sun and Moon-speaker, your character was cleansed and ushered into the Tribe of Vellock. Although you have no recollection of your past, your character was gifted with the power to wield an element.

Want a second character? If you are a member and you have purchased a character slot in the discord #purchase-here channel, you can follow all of these steps to have your second character submitted.

Submit your application to our Discord #character-submissions channel!

Step 1: Visual Application

Your art must be drawn by you or someone else, using based are fine, and if you are unable to draw anthros you can use regular cat art only for the visual portion. We will not accept stolen characters or traced work. Your visual application requires your character's physical primal attributes, and, at most, a lined and colored bust, and must be fully filled in. Choose a sub-tree border, which resembles your element color, and clearly highlight your chosen element. Check with a staff member in the Help-Channel if you’re unsure about something on your application.

  • Headshot or bust must be showing the neck and be fully, neatly colored.

  • Your character design shouldn't have neon or unrealistic colors or markings (red stripes, stars, hearts, skulls, etc.)

Choose the correct border on the application art depending on your Sub-Tree, it should not be grey.

You must include a fullbody in the description of your Visual Application

Step 2: Written application

Your written application should be readable and easy for admin and other member access. Any of the basic information requirements for your written application are listed below and cannot be modified or removed. However, the layout of said information can be modified and additional information can be added. You must have at least one clear reference of your character present in your written bio as it gives other members of the group an idea of what the character actually looks like.

Your Application can be created using a custom website, Google Docs, WIX, DA or Carrd.

Step 3: Information for New Characters

1. The characters have no backstory as of yet, as they don't remember where they came from. They only know that they were once infected. (If you a born into a family, you are also not required to make one.)
2. If you are joining as a new member outside of kit tryouts, your OC was not risen from the dead. They are infected who have been roaming the land as monsters for a very long time and are trapped and converted by the village. The Sun-speaker and Moon-speaker cleanse the Constance from you and grant you new life and elemental powers.
3. Humans do not exist in this universe. We are the humans of our world and we may craft and develop a society as they do.
4. You may add as much as you'd like to your application, which can also be made using any kind of site formatting such as; Wix, Carrd, DA, Stash, Toyhouse, Google Docs. Just make sure you have the required information on your page.
5. Make sure your character has primal attributes on their reference image! All characters have them depending on their Element, if you're unsure what is allowed, notify the staff.
6. Submit your application to the channel #character-submissions on our Discord. Doing so allows staff to DM you if any errors are found! The Primal Roster can be found at the top of #channel character-creation-template on our Discord. Be sure to look at this before you create your character to see which slots are open! Please submit this information before the 1st of the opening month or you must wait for the next opening. All applications will be reviewed and accepted afterwards. The Primal Roster can be found at the top of the #channel character-creation-template channel. Be sure to look at this before you create your character to see which slots are open! Use the format listed below in #character-submissions—

7. Once you have gotten the acceptance from a Staff Member you may create your character's Roster Page in the respective Element Channel on our Discord.

Step 4: Final Touches

1. PLEASE read the rules and go through the entirety of the website. Familiarize yourself with the timeline and everything about the universe to get a better understanding of our world. If you have any questions, do ask. We know it's a lot of information.

2. Choose a design that is allowed in the universe and pick an available Element and Sub-Tree. If you are unsure, consult the staff.

3. Add The Elemental Primal Attributes to your character's reference. If you're unsure what is allowed, show or ask the staff for confirmation

4. Place your character's bust onto the Visual Application and highlight the respective element and choose the sub-tree border color. Do not have a grey border. Finish it off by placing their name in the box at the bottom.

5. Make sure you choose one to two jobs for your character; choose from the available slots. These can be found on the website's Boards page.

6. Include a fullbody ref (with primal attributes!) somewhere in your application.
