OUR WORLD

West, along the shoreline on the of the continent of Avsland, lies the Vellock Fortress. It's made of ancient stone and still stands after what seems like countless years. Surrounding it is a mountainous terrain, lush with greenery and wildlife. Unfortunately, every animal not in proximity to the initial awakening at the rising, is infected with the same disease; The Constance. It's a black tar that contorts a creature, multiplying its eyes, leaking dark phlegm from the mouth and flooding their veins. Their only instinct is to kill or run. Upon further inspection it has been discovered that this infection does not like fire or light, but animals with a film over their eyes wander in the daylight. These infected animals are either killed on sight or trapped in cages to then be treated by Sun-speaker and Moon-speaker, cleansing them entirely and making them safe to be near and eat.

The Tribe was gifted four different Elemental abilities by Sun God Aesa after the disastrous flood so they may protect their kind. The Tribe people work hard to master them daily. They continue to construct a safe living space within the fortress, work through their memories to build, harvest and create, making a better world for generations to come.

When the moon rises, a sinister atmosphere comes with it
One that wails...that trills. Calls to you...
A reminder that we are not safe here.

THE CAVERN

A dark never ending Cavern—whose depths have gone untouched for millennia—this is where the most fearless and brutish cats work. As ore materials stay on high demand, workers spend hours at a time mining and digging away with only the dim light of the lanterns to guide them. Iron, gold, and moonstone are found here.

Infected attacks aren't uncommon here. It's thought that the easy access to these precious materials is what keeps cats on the job. Many different tools and contraptions, such as tethers, are built to keep cats from falling; as it would be difficult to recover a body.

VELLOCK

As of now, it's the only thriving land known. Deep in the forest, and under the fog, stands a fort- a haven built by the cats who reside there. The territory is large with four main terrain types (forest, mountain, open, and marsh) and a variety of trees. It's lush but not considered to be the most pleasant as a range of beastly sounds, caused by these roaming infected, can be heard throughout most of the day and especially night.

In spite of most of the land and animals being cleansed, infected still occupy many pockets of the area. As the Risen continue taking up residence here and build on their fortress, Vellock is the safest place to be.

THE COAST

On one side, at what seems like the edge of the world, lies the vast stretch of deep ocean that crashes against a rocky cliff face. Low hanging clouds cover the wide surface and give it a haunted but peaceful look. When you take a glance over the edge, the overhang's drop doesn't look that far, but it really is. Somewhere along the coast lines, the land levels out into a vast beach.

THE SPIRES

The lost remains of what used to be large buildings—what some say used to be an empire. A mysterious place for cats to explore, the air is strangely still and quiet, and the stones hold steady but it's best to watch your head anyways. The only evidence of previous life is the few worn tools, which are far too rotted to be used again, found broken or half buried in the ground.

Many animals take refuge in the crevices and cracks, and especially in the deeper part of the ruins, so infected aren't too rare around these parts. A few tall spires are the only things that still, just barely, stand at full height. Course, these too have pieces missing. This isn't a very safe playground.

THE MEADOWS

An expanse of untamed grassland teeming with life and a relaxing view of the land. Stealth isn't impossible here but a little more difficult; most of the grass reaches up to the belly, but in some spots it can get up to 3 feet and provide complete coverage. Trees dot the landscape and despite the exposed feeling, this is a great place to hunt for smaller prey and especially birds.
